Shelby Township, Michigan is Experiencing Animal Problems

The residents of Shelby Township, Michigan are having all sorts of animal problems.

There are 3 stay cats in a small condo complex. Born and raised in the complex (approximately 5 years old). The person that was caring for them (food and outside shelter), unexpectedly passed away. No one in the community wants to assume the responsibility or commitment for the cats that the deceased left behind. The cats (siblings) have become a bother to everyone by jumping on cars, vomiting up mice on porches, killing the birds in our area, roaming in complex begging for food, sitting on patio furniture, etc.  We would like to have them trapped and removed as soon as possible.                  -Cassidy G

Our problem started two months ago. At first we noticed droppings in the house but did not know what they were. They increased in number we have called a pest control company and they had been unable to catch anything until last week. They caught a large rat which was about 6inches long without the tail. We have tried keeping food/water sources away and closing doors/stuffing under the doors. We were told it was likely only one rat and that this should take care of the problem but we saw one in the garage last night.         -Jaxon B

We solve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Shelby Township and surrounding areas. Give us a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

Many of the projects we solve involve raccoon families in attics and chimneys, mud swallow nests on stucco, woodpeckers drilling siding, voles and gophers destroying lawns, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, bat infestations, skunks stealing pet food and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their noise and commotion and smell. Baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that my professional wildlife removal operators and I are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don't hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, pigeon waste cleanup, bat guano removal, mouse droppings, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.

I have been in the professional wildlife control business for many years. My favorite stories and experiences are removing bats from schools and churches.

Skunk Problems in Shelby Township, Michigan

Skunk problems in Shelby Township, Michigan are popping up all over the place.  You won’t believe what’s happening!

Last spring around this time, we discovered that a skunk had hibernated under the back addition to our house. It had dug under our back porch and down under the addition. When it woke, it emptied its scent glands and our house stunk so bad it was hard to be at home. The following night, we could hear it crying under our back addition as if it was fighting with something and then it sprayed again! We called an animal removal service the next day. They determined that the skunk was entering and exiting through two holes. The technician only had one trap and so only set a trap over one of the holes. He said he would come back the next day to set a second trap but he never returned with it. Two days later, the skunk sprayed a third time. I angrily called the animal removal service and was treated like an idiot. I demanded that a technician come out and set a second trap, which he did. The very next morning the skunk was in that second trap. My husband used the crawl space under the addition to find the lair. The skunk had torn down all of our insulation to make a comfy nest. My husband took out all the ruined insulation, replaced it, and took large rocks and dirt to close the holes the animal had used to get beneath the house. Nevertheless, we think another skunk got under our house, because tonight our house stinks to high heaven. It\'s just awful! I can\'t believe this is happening again, but I also want to make sure that we aren\'t treated like we were by the animal removal company we used last year.   -Melanie R
